Dowling St depot was located on the corner of Dacey and South Dowling St. It was in existence as an operational depot from  1909 to 1961. It provided trams for services on the

City to La Perouse.

City to Botany

City to Coogee

City to Maroubra

City to Rosebery

City to Henderson Rd (St Peters Railway station)

City to West Kensington

City to Daceyville

This depot consisted of a 27 road shed plus a large holding yard at rear, the building was demolished to make way for the Supa Centre Shopping Center. Entry to the depot was controlled by a flagman and was by means of a double jct. A staff tram 'The Limerick' ran between the depot and Anzac pde at Robertson Rd where there was a large meal room.
This was the largest tram depot in Sydney, the next being Nth Sydney.
