Sydney's Tramway Network

Sydney, had one of the largest tramway networks in Australia,operations covered a century from 1861 - 1961. There were 12 Depots in the Sydney area, these were:-

Rozelle                         1904 to 1958

Fort Macquarie            1902 to 1955

Manly                          1911 to 1930

Waverly                       1902 to 1959

Dowling St                   1909 to 1961

Newtown                     1900 to 1957

Tempe                         1912 to 1954

Rushcutters Bay           1898 to 1960

Ultimo                         1899 to 1953

Nth Sydney                 1909 to 1958

Leichhardt                   1915 to 1937

Tangarra St                 1891 to 1948

Rockdale                   1914 to 1949
