Ultimo depot, was located in Mary Ann St Ultimo. This depot was constructed in the standard design of the day for Tram depots. It was in existence as an operational depot from  1899 to 1953. It provided trams for services on the following lines in conjunction with Fort Macquarie depot

Fort Macquarie to Pyrmont

Fort Macquarie to Ryde

Circular Quay to Erskineville

Ryde to Ryde station

Darling St Wharf to Leichhardt

Bridge St City to Central Railway

darling St Wharf to Canterbury (until 1953)
The depot had 12 roads under cover.
